Using clinical case studies and audio-visual material Dr Brisch will demonstrate a special approach to psychotherapeutic practice, grounded in cutting edge theory and research, to treat various attachment disorders in various age groups of traumatised children and adolescents. Additionally, two attachment based prevention programs will be explained: one which helps parents develop a secure attachment to their infant starting during pregnancy; and a program which promotes empathy, and helps to decrease aggression and anxiety in children of different age groups, starting in kindergarten.
